Hearth - Ruth Cowin House is a mixed-income community with age restrictions – income qualifications and rent restrictions may apply. The beautifully renovated brownstone, located on Beacon Street in Brookline, is home to nine low-income elderly men and women. Ruth Cowin House is home to some longtime area residents who, after many years, have returned home to Brookline.
Nine lovely furnished studio apartments with kitchenette are available to the residents. Wonderful volunteers from the community prepare special meals so the residents can enjoy time together and special holiday celebrations. Evenings are often spent in the grand living/dining area in front of the cozy fireplace.
